Believers Baptism & Re-Dedication
Some people are baptized or dedicated as babies, their parents promising to bring them up in faith. Once someone is old enough to decide for themselves that they want to follow Jesus, they can show it by receiving a Believer’s Baptism or Re-dedication. This is an outward sign of what has happened to them spiritually, on the inside. It represents the death of the old sin life and being resurrected into a new life. Romans 6:4 says, For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
Back Roads Church offers Believer’s Baptism and Re-dedication events a few times a year, usually in the local hotel swimming pool. You can sign up for these events under the Next Steps section on your Sunday Connection Card or ask us to put you on the list for the next event.

Becoming a church member means you have chosen to become part of our spiritual family, joining us on one of the most important and exciting journeys you will ever take. If you have been attending Back Roads Church and are considering making it your church home – we invite you to sign up for an Exploring Membership Class, held a few times a year. Taking the class does not mean you have to become a member, but it is a great step to take where you will learn about:

- Our core values and what it means to be a member
- Why being a member is important for spiritual growth
